The rectus abdominis muscle runs vertically on each side of the anterior wall of the human abdomen (and in some other animals). These are two parallel muscles, separated by a midline band of connective tissue called the linea alba (white line). The rectus abdominis is responsible for flexing the lumbar spine, as when doing a "crunch". It also assists with breathing and plays an important role in respiration. This Rectus Abdominis Muscle PowerPoint Theme or template is mainly colored light blue. The download includes a Title slide that's coordinated with the additional slide layouts.
